Martha also performs with Harper's Delight. Combinations of personnel can be mixed and matched. Below is a brief bio of the musicians.

Martha Gallagher is a wonderful and strong solo performer. Her choice to bring together three other talented musicians to form a harp-led ensemble with a diverse repertoire is a treat for audiences. Through her insightful songwriting, creative arrangements, diverse repertoire, and wonderful stage presence, she totally and delightfully changes the concept of what many people think of as harp music.

Susan Grimm is a native Adirondacker who currently resides in Saranac Lake, where she operates a private music teaching studio. Her thirty years of flute experience include a bachelor's degree in classical music and studies with such greats as Chris Norman, Grey Larson, Seamus Egan, and R. Carlos Nakai. She currently also performs on recorder with the area Early Music ensemble, the Backwater Consort.

Sue and Martha met in high school at the Crane School of Music Summer Camp where both were studying flute. Many years later, when Martha moved to the Adirondacks, Sue saw her name in the paper, called her up, and they renewed their friendship. They’ve been performing together ever since. From elegant weddings to heartfelt memorials to concerts to bawdy street performances, Martha and Sue feed each others creativity and performance energies. Sue is a featured guest on Martha’s CD, ‘Tween Heaven and Earth.

Frank Orsini has for many years been one of the most versatile, active professional fiddlers in the Upstate New York region, able to play many styles and repertoires with authority. Among other fiddle styles, he has always included a dedicated study and acquisition of some of the best of the instrumental/fiddle music of Ireland, Scotland, England, the Shetland Islands and other Celtic regions. Residing in Glens Falls, he frequently performs with The Whipper-Snappers, Roy "Poncho" Hurd, Walt Michael and Co., and Bill Keith.

Frank and Martha joined musical forces ten years ago. Frank’s versatility blends well with Martha’s diverse background and he is comfortable following her as she leaps from Celtic airs to Hank William’s tunes to original material. Frank, Sue, and Martha have the wonderful ability to complement each others playing intuitively. Frank is also featured on ‘Tween Heaven and Earth.

Brian Melick, a well known and versatile percussionist from the Capital Region rounds out the group with a wide variety of hand percussion. Brian, who for many years has presented educational programs in schools, museums, and libraries, is a seasoned performer who has added spice to many area groups. He currently performs regularly with The McKrells. His CD, Percussive Voices, is available through Hudson Valley Records.

Brian swears that the first time he met Martha she was standing on a table in the lounge of a Catskill resort, banging away on a guitar and belting out the blues. Martha agrees that this is entirely possible. Over the years they have played together in many groups playing many different styles of music. Whether it’s his udu drum beat anchoring a song or his vast array of unusual objects that add the ambient icing on the musical cake, Brian’s tasteful addition of percussion to this group is a delight. Brian is also a featured musician on’Tween Heaven and Earth.
